Ian jones founded Sherwood Wood in 2010, although his woodworking career started in 1995. Ian has worked on various projects; including “Earthships” in New Mexico and sustainable renovation in France. Between 2000-2010 Ian worked in a partnership as Beeston Jones designing and building artworks and play environments for both indoors and outdoors.

Ian’s passion has always been to design and builds high-quality beautiful objects that are appreciated and used as much as possible during their long life. Sustainability is a major aspect of Ian’s work, that means using sustainably sourced materials, but of equal importance is high-quality build and classic design for maximised lifespan and desirability.
